Getting started
What is Learning We Keep?
Learning We Keep brings homeschool planning, learning records, and Pathways into one household workspace. Plan activities, record what happened, review progress, and use available Pathways tools to explore a learner’s starting points and possible next steps.
Is it only for homeschoolers?
Homeschool families are the primary audience, but any adult-managed household that wants to preserve a learning history may find the workflow useful.
What does it cost?
Learning We Keep is free to use, with no credit card required. See the pricing page for details.
What happens if pricing changes?
The service has no billing flow. The pricing page and terms will be updated before paid access begins, and an account cannot be charged unless its holder deliberately provides payment information.
Pathways and learning plans
What does Pathways add?
Pathways connects learning evidence, parent observations, assessments, and suggested next steps. Explore the Pathways overview for the workflow and learning-plan preview.
Is Pathways available to every household?
Pathways access is currently enabled by household. Learning plans are in preview, and available tools may vary by household. Creating an account does not automatically enable every Pathways tool.
Can I review or change a learning plan?
In the learning-plan preview, you choose subjects, priorities, pace, and lesson formats, then review a proposal before accepting it. You can edit lesson content, review its history, and provide feedback as learning continues.
Does Pathways use AI?
Yes. AI helps interpret submitted evidence and prepare assessment tasks, activity suggestions, and lesson materials. Parents review suggested evidence and outcomes and should check content before using it. AI output can be incorrect.
Planning and recording
Do I need to plan everything in advance?
No. Create a plan when it is useful, record a completed activity afterward, or begin with a timer. Planned and unplanned learning belong in the same history.
Can I record informal and everyday learning?
Yes. You can record books, projects, classes, field trips, experiments, conversations, independent interests, everyday experiences, and curriculum lessons. Subjects, curricula, notes, goals, and time are available when they add helpful context.
Does Learning We Keep grade or measure my child?
Learning We Keep does not assign grades or rank children. Pathways offers guided assessments and subject-specific skill starting points to inform planning. Evidence and parent review matter: a completed activity or recorded minute is not proof of mastery, and a Pathways level is not a standardized test score.
Can I use goals without measuring everything?
Yes. Goals can hold a simple milestone, an activity count, or recorded time. They are optional context for a family’s plans and reflection—not a claim that every kind of learning can be quantified.
Learning history
What does the Reports area show?
Reports brings together completed activities, calendar records, subjects, curricula, goals, recorded time, learning grouped by student, and optional attendance. It is designed for review, reflection, and continuity—not academic scoring.
Can I export or print my records?
Yes. Reports can be downloaded as PDF or CSV files for any selected date range.
Will earlier records remain if a learner or subject becomes inactive?
Yes. Making a learner inactive or archiving a subject or curriculum keeps it connected to the activities already in the household history.
Families and access
Can I track more than one child?
Yes. A household can add multiple learners and connect an activity to one learner or several.
Can another parent or caregiver participate?
Yes. Another trusted adult can join the household through a secure, expiring invitation link. Invitations can be sent by email or copied and shared directly.
Can children create their own accounts?
Learning We Keep is designed for adults managing household learning records. Learners do not need their own account. A parent can share a limited child link for a Pathways assessment or prepared lesson without sharing the household workspace.
Is there a mobile application?
Learning We Keep is available as a responsive web application that works on phones, tablets, and computers.
Privacy and homeschool requirements
How is household information protected?
Account access uses secure, cookie-based sessions. Learning records stay behind authenticated household routes and membership checks. Families should still choose carefully what information they enter and who they invite.
Does Learning We Keep sell learning records for advertising?
No. The service does not sell personal information or use household learning records for targeted advertising. Infrastructure providers process information only as needed to host, operate, protect, and troubleshoot the application.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Account deletion is available in Settings with a 30-day recovery window. Household owners can transfer ownership to an active adult guardian or schedule deletion of the entire household and its learning data.
Does this replace my state’s homeschool requirements?
No. Learning We Keep is an organizational tool, not legal advice or a guarantee that a record meets any jurisdiction’s requirements. Families remain responsible for understanding the rules that apply to them.
